Paper Flower Windows

sweet paper’s windows are in full bloom

After being inspired by an image on pinterest (which for some strange reason I did not pin and cannot find now), I decided the store windows needed to be framed with tons and tons of beautiful flowers. I just had to figure out how to accomplish this… real flowers wouldn’t work, silk flowers would cost a pretty penny, hmmm…. being a stationery store and all, the only logical solution was to make a few (uh, I mean a couple hundred) paper flowers!!

Several people, lots and lots of paper, a boat load of glue sticks, burnt fingers, sore hands, more paper cuts than we care to recount, a few technical difficulties, one amazing mix tape compliments of Claudia at Fig 2. Design, an all-nighter and a month later our windows are finally installed!!

Our hard work paid off, I love them and I hope you do too! You’ll be able to enjoy them for some time as these babies are staying up for quite a while!

A big shout out to Honestly, Kate, who was my partner in crime on this project, for all of her hard work, paper cuts, craftiness and patience. And a special thanks to Ashley and Guy from Ashley Elizabeth Floral Design and Styling for lending us their amazing wall of glass bulbs and spending a night making flowers with me.
